JDG Media “Highly Commended” at Warrington Business Awards

JDG Media were “Highly Commended” in three categories at the 2011 Warrington Business Awards, held at the Park Royal Hotel on Wednesday September 14th.

The awards evening, hosted by TV presenter Dianne Oxberry, featured guest speaker Christine Hamilton, and brought together thriving businesses in and around Warrington.

The business was praised for the progress it has made in its short existence, as well as for the challenges it has faced.

JDG Media was runner-up in the Small Business of the Year and Start-up Business of the Year awards, while Managing Director James Gordon finished second in Business Person of the Year, behind Ruth Yates of wine specialists Corks Out.

It meant that JDG Media received “Highly Commended” awards in each of those three categories.

James Gordon said: “We’re coming up to the end of our first year in business, and the awards proved a great opportunity to reflect on the achievements of the past 12 months.

“To be shortlisted for any of these awards is a great achievement for us, and it was a pleasure to be in the company of many successful businesses in Warrington.

“We would like to congratulate all the winning businesses throughout the 10 categories, particularly Corks Out, who scooped an impressive three awards!

“Although we didn’t come away with any trophies, we were able to network and meet with potential clients and partners which will help the business develop, and hopefully this time next year, we may be able to go one step further.”

Full coverage of the awards will be published in the Warrington Guardian next Thursday, September 22.
