Rugby league season review in Lego!

We’re always looking for ways to make our websites different from the rest, and recently we came up with the idea to review the recent Super League season for our website Love Rugby League, but in Lego!

We teamed up with GLove Productions to make this happen. Find the press release below.

It’s a Super League review video like never before – the moments of the season captured in LEGO!

The video runs through some of the most memorable events of the season, from Ben Jones-Bishop’s penalty try at the Millennium Stadium and Keith Senior’s Twitter rant, to that try from Joel Tomkins at Wembley and Leeds’ triumph in the Grand Final at Old Trafford.

All the clips have been re-created using LEGO pieces and figures to give rugby league fans something a little different to remember Super League XVI.

Keep an eye out too for Halifax kitwoman Hilda, who makes an appearance in the clip that revisits the Huddersfield-Castleford kit clash at The Shay.

Another moment from The Shay is captured too, Damien Blanch’s sensational try in the corner for Catalan.

The reaction to Widnes’ inclusion to Super League for 2012 is covered, as well as the Willie Mason saga that dominated the headlines in East Hull for much of the first half of 2011.

The biggest game of the regular season between Warrington and Wigan, which decided the minor premiers, is also covered – check out Matt King’s hair and Wolfie.

The project was devised and published by www.loverugbyleague.com.
